Discover and progress your style and your individual visual voice. Your images communicate your passions, metaphors and journeys.
The workshop is designed to help you identify and cultivate your style. Laurie is a gifted teacher who helps you recognize unifying elements in your favorite images.
You will learn techniques to listen to your photographs and learn from them. You’ll learn to extend that learning to deepen your unique visual voice.
You will learn techniques to listen to your photographs and learn from them. Laurie will help clarify your vision, and identify the next steps in your creative journey.
Hands-on work will include individually tailored assignments that strengthen your creative process as you work with your own photographs and with clippings from magazines.
Bring to class 15 of your photographic PRINTS; 4x6 or larger that represent your work. Then 20 images that are not yours clipped from magazines or printed from online images: 10+ images you really like + 10+ images you really don’t like. Don’t think too hard about this assignment, go with your emotional response. The more diversified the images the better.
