About The Ranch

Just an hour north of San Francisco in Sonoma's Valley of the Moon rests Westerbeke Ranch, an 11-acre retreat center and wedding venue. Curving pathways meander amidst native gardens to the historic cabins, meeting rooms and Mission-style dining room centered around the swimming pool, all under the umbrella of a heritage oak grove.

The property has been in the same family since 1935; historic family photos hang in cabin bedrooms. Wendy Westerbeke lovingly decorated the grounds and buildings with rustic-chic finds from her family's travels to Mexico and Spain. The Ranch continues to be a private homestead for the Westerbeke family, giving the property a well-loved, soulful feeling.

With trails, pathways, fountains, a labyrinth for walking, benches for sitting, views and nature all around, and limited wi-fi, the Ranch is the perfect place to unwind and recharge from daily life.

Food & Lodging

An organic garden lies at the base of the hill, providing much of the gourmet farm-to-table offerings in the California Mission-Style adobe dining room. The buffet-style meals prepared by the talented Westerbeke chefs garner rave reviews! And of course, they cater to all food sensitivities. In cooler months, folks can gather by the fire glowing in the river rock fireplace. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate are available all day. The family offers the honor system for purchases of beer, wine, and snacks in the Cantina and other sundry items, jewelry, tunics, et al in the Gift Shop.

Each of the five cozy cabins is painted white and named after its trim color: Blue, Red, Orange, Green, and Yellow. All of the cabins contain several bedrooms with two, three or four beds with colorful linens, and each bedroom has its own bathroom, entrance, and front porch offering comfort and privacy.
