THE EXPERIENCE

Firefly Institute is a five-day annual photography workshop where women grow their photographic skills, renew their inspiration, make photo friends and have fun at a picturesque, countryside retreat in Sonoma. We include three days of high caliber photography classes, shared meals and lodging, and evenings with summer-camp-style activities: a sing along, skit night and a squaredance.

Our Mission: We strive to create an atmosphere of community-building for kindred spirits so they can reinvigorate their love of photography and return home with new skills, friendships, and contacts. We will host this intimate event for 42 campers and 8 teachers at the lovely, charming Westerbeke Ranch in Sonoma, CA.

Our instructors are accomplished female professional photographers, many with large followings and fans, who are committed to elevating the quality of the art and business practices in the photography industry.
