With Pei Ketron
Thanks to Instagram, other mobile photo sharing apps, and rapidly advancing smartphone camera technology, a new breed of photographer has appeared. Many of these photographers have never shot before and have no idea how to use a DSLR, and yet they're knocking it out of the ballpark with the shots they're getting. They're landing major clients and marketing jobs, all based on what they can do with their iPhones.
We'll cover not just an assortment of apps that can be used to capture images on your phone (apps that mimic a long exposure, for instance), but also a wealth of apps that can be used for editing your photos once you've captured them. Discover ways to enhance your images without making them look overly processed, as well as tools that are as powerful as what your desktop offers for retouching images, correcting perspectives, etc.
You will learn iPhone shooting techniques and strategies, workflow, and post-processing with available apps (in other words, how to turn your iPhone into your camera, office, and darkroom!).
Hands-on work will include shooting on the grounds of beautiful Westerbeke ranch and then editing and processing with the apps covered in class.
Bring to class your iPhone with plenty of available space and battery power, as well as questions about things you've seen done with an iPhone but have no idea how to pull off.
